2025-26 English Premier League odds: Liverpool is favorite to repeat as EPL champion

Over the past eight seasons of the English Premier League, only two teams — Manchester City and Liverpool — have finished the season atop the table as champions. After an astonishing four straight seasons atop the EPL from 2020-24, Manchester City was bested in the 2024-25 campaign and finished third.

Liverpool (84 points) finished 10 points clear of the field and ahead of second-place Arsenal.

Oddsmakers expect a similar battle atop the standings this season.

Currently, Liverpool is the favorite at +175 odds at BetMGM to defend its title, followed by Arsenal (+240) and Manchester City (+300).

However, it’s two other EPL squads that bettors are backing at longer odds, as the most-bet team by total wagers is Chelsea (+900), with 19.3% of bets at BetMGM. The Blues finished fourth in the Premier League last season.

The other team garnering plenty of action is 20-time Premier League winner Manchester United, which opened with 33-1 odds and is now down to 28-1 after taking in 14.1% of bets (fourth most), but a whopping 33.4% of the total dollars wagered. The Red Devils represent the worst outcome currently for the sportsbook.

Liverpool — and the soccer world — has also been dealing with the tragic passing of former midfielder Diogo Jota from a car accident in July. The club will retire Jota’s No. 20 jersey this season.

Burnley and Sunderland have the longest odds of any team at 1000-1.
