Canada sprung a surprise at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene. The Maple Leafs won gold in the men's 4x100m relay, ahead of favorite USA, whose representatives occupied the top three spots on the podium in the 100m and 200m.
Canada's team of Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake, Brendan Rodney and Andre DeGrasse won the title with the season's best time of 37.48 seconds.
Americans Christian Coleman, Noah Lyles, Elijah Hall and Marvin Bracey finished in 37.55 seconds.
The bronze medals were won by the quartet of Great Britain (Jonah Efoloko, Zarnell Hughes, Nathaniel Mitchell-Blake and Reece Prescod) with 37.83 seconds.
