Argentine Federico Higuaín, brother of former soccer player Gonzalo Higuaín, became the new coach of Inter Miami II this Friday, the Inter Miami youth team that competes in MLS NEXT Pro.
” I am excited to take on this new role and I hope to continue helping young players in their development. I am grateful to the club and to the players for their trust,” said Federico Higuaín.
Inter Miami sports director Chris Henderson assured that Higuain “earned promotion with his incredible work with the group last season.”
In fact, Federico Higuaín already worked last year at Inter Miami II as assistant coach Darren Powell. In this way, Higuaín begins his first experience as a coach after a long career as a player, in which he also played 29 games and scored three goals with Inter Miami.
