Mbappé reached 201 goals and became the top scorer in the history of PSG, beating the Uruguayan Edinson Cavani and Lionel Messi dedicated a message to him on his social networks. “Congratulations @k.mbappe on the record!!” Messi wrote in a post to which he added an applause emoji and a photo with the French striker shouting one of PSG’s goals.
“If someone had told me that I was going to score this goal with the captain’s armband, I would never have believed it,” acknowledged Mbappé, who achieved the record at only 24 years of age.
“When I arrived I was a young player. I learned a lot of things here. Playing for PSG, as a Parisian, is something special,” added the top scorer in the history of Paris Saint Germain and highlighted: “I’m here to make history. In France, in my country, in my city. It’s beautiful to achieve individual successes and be recognized but I also want collective achievements. There is still a lot to do.”
