Bank branches remain closed on Saturday, November 2, on account of Diwali (Bali Pratipada), according to the RBI’s bank holiday list. However, digital payments and ATM will continue to work normally. There are a total of 13 bank holidays in November 2024 due to various national and regional occassions.
Banks will remain closed for 13 days this month on account of events including Diwali Amavasya (Laxmi Pujan), Kut Festival, Kannada Rajyotsava, Balipadyami, Vikram Samvat New Year, Chhath and Wangala Festival, among others.
The Reserve Bank of India lists these holidays by state on its website. All scheduled and non-scheduled banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month in observance of public holidays.

From November 1-3, banks in Karnataka and Maharashtra will be closed for four consecutive days, while banks in Uttarakhand and Sikkim will have a three-day closure, followed by Sunday. On November 23, banks in Meghalaya will also be closed.
During these holidays, bank branches will be unavailable, but customers can still use digital banking services such as online banking, mobile apps, and ATMs, except in cases of scheduled maintenance.
