Atlético President spoke: Ronaldo's transfer to our club is practically impossible

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has strongly denied rumors that the club could sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has announced that he wants to leave Old Trafford and move to a club involved in the Champions League but has so far not received any concrete offers.

There has been talking in recent days that he could suit up for Atleti, despite spending a decade at city rivals Real Madrid where he reached legendary status. "I don't know who made up the story about Cristiano Ronaldo at Atletico Madrid, but it's definitely not true. It's practically impossible for him to come here," announced Cereso.

Yesterday, the 37-year-old Portuguese held a meeting with the management of United and the new manager Eric Ten Haag, in which he once again confirmed his desire to play for another club next season.

At the moment, the situation remains complicated and it is unclear what Ronaldo's future holds.
