Barcelona's Sergio Aguero ruled out for three months

Barcelona have been without Argentine star striker Sergio Aguero for three months. Club authorities confirmed the news in a statement after receiving Aguero's cardiac test results.

The new Barcelona striker began to suffer from shortness of breath during last Saturday's Spanish La Liga match against Alavs. He was later picked up in the middle of the match. He was admitted to the hospital. After a cardiac examination, doctors said Aguero was suffering from cardiac arrhythmias.

What is cardiac arrhythmia?

Cardiac arrhythmia means irregular heartbeat. When the electrical signals that coordinate the heartbeat do not work properly, the heart beats rhythmically. And because of this faulty signal, the heart starts beating very fast (tachycardia) or very slow (bradycardia) or irregularly. As a result, the patient suffers from shortness of breath.

Aguero's illness has been a major blow for Barcelona. This season, Barcelona is not getting a goal without scattering. Losing a goal scorer like Aguero in it. Barcelona will play Dynamo Kiev in the group stage match of the Champions League tonight. The team's interim coach Sergei Barjuan is therefore looking for an alternative to Aguero.
