The 10-day celebration of the cowboy life was scrapped for the very first time in the event’s history of 112 years, The event became so popular that Calgary’s national identity became tied to the event. The west Canadian city is also informally called “Stampede City”.

Last year it made a comeback in a scaled-down form that featured a limit on the number of people allowed to be present at Stampede Park. A limit on the number of people allowed to stay in certain tents.

2022 Calgary Stampede Route

The parade begins at the intersection of 9 Avenue and 3rd Street SE. It heads west to 10 Street SW and makes a sharp turn north at the intersection of 9 Avenue and 10 Street SW. Then make another sharp turn east at the intersection of 6 Avenue and 10 Street SW. And finally ends at the intersection of 6th Avenue and 4th Street SE.

How To Watch Calgary Stampede 2022?

The 2022 Calgary Stampede will take place on Friday, July 8, 2022. These events will be broadcasted exclusively via Gamepass. Local viewers can tune into Sportsnet and Sportsnet One to watch a live special broadcast of the shows. Whereas, international viewers can use the Sportsnet NOW subscription to watch sporting events online.

Kids’ Day will take place Wednesday with a free breakfast in the GMC Stadium Courtyard from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and a variety show that’s scheduled from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
