The Rugby World Cup is in full flow in France, with England well on their way to reaching the knockout stages following wins over Argentina and Japan. Steve Borthwick’s men went into the tournament with their fair share of detractors but have overcome potential banana skins to storm to the top of Pool D.
England are the overwhelming favourites to finish top of Pool D ahead of their final two matches against Chile and Samoa respectively. And the 2003 champions could face Wales or Australia in the last eight.
Former England head coach Eddie Jones is now in charge of the Wallabies following a seven-year stint with the Red & Whites. But his team have come under fire in France and suffered a surprise 22-15 defeat to Fiji on Sunday.
Meanwhile. France have cruised to the top of Pool A after defeating New Zealand in their opening match and backing that up with victory over Uruguay. And in Pool B, Ireland and South Africa are the two teams vying to finish at the top of the table.
