FC Dallas and the Vancouver Whitecaps will both look to extend unbeaten streaks when the Western Conference foes square off at Toyota Stadium on Wednesday night.

Both teams returned from the Gold Cup break to pick up points in an abbreviated Week 16. FC Dallas (7-6-4) secured a second win in three unbeaten with a decisive 3-0 victory over Toronto FC in Frisco last Saturday. Dominique Badji opened the scoring with his first of two goals in the 41st minute. Ten minutes later, Bressan latched onto a Michael Barrios corner kick and headed in his first MLS goal. Badji closed out the scoring in the 58th minute to secure a decisive win.

The Whitecaps (4-6-7) rallied from a two-goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw with the Colorado Rapids at BC Place, extending their unbeaten streak to five, though four of those were draws. After falling in a two-goal hole after 20 minutes on strikes by Diego Rubio and Andre Shinyashiki, Fredy Montero gave the hosts a lifeline with a penalty kick just before halftime. Yordy Reyna struck the dramatic equalizer on a wonderfully-taken free kick in the 80th minute.

One month ago, the ‘Caps won the first meeting between the teams, 2-1. Ali Adnan and Lucas Venuto scored 10 minutes apart in the first half before Badji struck late for Dallas at BC Place.
