FIFA has imposed strict sanctions on Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in a televised speech on Wednesday night (February 23rd) that he had approved a "special military operation" in Ukraine. The bomber struck shortly after noon in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
Today’s FIFA decision is totally unacceptable. We are not interested in participating in this game of appearances. Our stance remains intact: Polish National Team will NOT PLAY with Russia, no matter what the name of the team is.

Russia, meanwhile, is facing sanctions from a number of factors, including the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. This time, FIFA, the governing body of world football, has spoken out against the Russian aggression in Ukraine. Russia has said no international matches will be held.
Russia will have to play in a neutral venue without its own flag and national anthem. Must play in the name of Football Union of Russia.
FIFA announced the decision in an official statement on Sunday (February 27th). However, FIFA is not satisfied with the decision of Poland and Sweden. The two countries have also refused to play a World Cup qualifier against Russia in a neutral venue. Meanwhile, the England Football Association has announced that it will not play an international match against Russia.
