The Erie Times-News and goerie.com is posting its last Top Performers list for District 10’s fall sports season.
This feature, which recognizes Erie County’s notable athletes, will return when the PIAA’s winter sports season under way in December:
Boys soccer
Cooper Robson, General McLane: He assisted on the Lancers’ first two goals and scored their third when they blanked Mercyhurst Prep 3-0 in a District 10 Class 2A semifinal at Fairview.
Jackson Chiocco, Fairview: His rare feat, two goals on penalty kicks, highlighted the Tigers’ 3-1 victory vs. Grove City in the teams’ district 2A semifinal at Dollinger Field.
Girls soccer
Remy Suroviec, Fairview: The Tigers, who beat Cathedral Prep 2-0 in a District 10 Class 2A semifinal, never trailed after the freshman scored just over 10 minutes into play.
Ashley Froess, Fort LeBoeuf: The Bison made her first-half goal stand up for a 1-0 win against Fairview in a district 2A semifinal at Dollinger Field.
