Former Lynn basketball player Jordan Allen selected in 2nd round of NBA G League Draft

Boca Raton, Florida - Former Lynn Fighting Knights' guard Jordan Allen was selected in the second round of the NBA G League Draft by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants this past Saturday. Fort Wayne used the 46th overall pick to nab Allen. The Mad Ants have been a one-to-one Development league affiliate of the Indiana Pacers since 2015.

Allen, who transferred from Rider University to Lynn for the 2019-20 season, played in 25 games, starting 24 of them, and averaged 18.4 points per game. He shot 41.1 percent from the field and 37 percent from beyond the arc in his time with the Fighting Knights. His career-high came against Clayton St. when he went for 37 on 9-11 shooting from three-point range. In all, Allen topped the 30-point mark four times, including a 35-point performance against the University of Florida.

Allen and the Mad Ants will begin their season on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. against the Windy City Bulls.

The Fighting Knights will begin their regular season one week later, when they welcome Mississippi College to the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. Prior to that, Lynn will travel to Florida Atlantic on Monday, Nov. 1 to take on the Owls at 7 p.m.
