Government extends incentives to exports via couriers – Times of India

MUMBAI: In an attempt to boost exports, govt has extended incentives such as tax refunds and drawback to shipments made via courier with immediate effect, while also launching two key digital platforms.
There are also plans to extend these benefits to postal route exports, creating a more equitable environment for e-commerce exporters utilising the courier and postal mode, added a commerce ministry statement.
As part of ease of doing business reforms, the ministry launched two digital platforms – Jan Sunvai and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) portal – aimed at providing online access to all the services and resolution of grievances, following a Board of Trade meeting in Mumbai.
“With the launch of Jan Sunvai, no one will have to come to govt offices anymore for grievances or clarifications. They can simply access everything through the platform, including video conferencing for resolving queries related to licences and more,” said commerce minister Piyush Goyal.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) portal is designed to manage claims, grievances, and policy information efficiently.
