The Chinese government has closed down 59 programs in India. These programs are closed down, accusing them of becoming harmful for the nation, BBC Online reported Tuesday. A statement by the Government of India stated, “These programs are harmful to India’s sovereignty and integrity, India’s defense, state security, and public order”

NDTV reported the decision Has Been Obtained by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Monday (June 29) on the recommendation of India’s Cyber Crime Coordination Department and the Home Ministry. The conclusion stems 15 days following 20 Indian soldiers had been killed in clashes between Chinese and Indian forces at the Galway Valley in Ladakh.

According to the report, The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has thanked the Prime Minister for the move. They have already called for a boycott of Chinese products in the country The leaders of this organization think that their call will be stronger after this ban.

Tightcom’s parent company, BitDynam, is headquartered in Beijing and has spread worldwide since it became popular in China. As its popularity grew, so did its criticism. TikTok has been the most criticized in the United States. Several senators have called for an investigation. TikTok vehemently denied the allegations.

In addition to shutting down the app, the Indian government has canceled the Chinese company’s Forge network update and railway network contracts in the country. It has also instructed to stop selling Chinese products on e-commerce platforms.

Experts in India say the app ban could be a major blow to China’s ambitious digital silk route. This will reduce the valuation of Chinese companies. India’s move to close the app can now be followed by other countries.

No comment was received from China regarding the closure of the app.
