Israel Adesanya Defends His UFC Middleweight Title

Israel Adesanya effectively guarded his middleweight title for the fifth time. He crushed Jared Cannonier consistently in the headliner at UFC 276 on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Calculated and facing not many challenges, Adesanya did what was vital for the eyes of the adjudicators to keep his belt.Two passes judgment on gave over cards of 49-46 for the boss. The third saw Adesanya win every one of the five rounds.

This is his third success in the wake of losing to Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title in March 2021 at UFC 259. He stays undefeated in the middleweight division.

This is the fourth time in succession that Adesanya has battled a five-round battle. It's arrived at the breaking point and the seventh time in his vocation. Cannonier was engaging with a title in question without precedent for his fourteenth battle in the UFC.

After his triumph, Adesanya guaranteed a battle against Alex Pereira. Alex passed the knockout to Sean Strickland prior at night.

In the semifinals of the gala, Alexander Volkanovski dominated Max Holloway. He retains his featherweight championship with a unanimous decision victory.

The three judges gave the five rounds to the undisputed champion of the 145 pounds. Volkanovsky won all three feather belt fights between the two men. Despite losing by decision in the trilogy’s first two volumes, Holloway (23-7) had done enough to deserve a third chance at the title. This time, the champion left no doubt.

The Australian inflicted a very deep cut on Holloway above his left eye in the second round. And was never worried during the fight. He controlled the duel during all five rounds. Served a real clinic to the first contender of the division.

Volkanovski defended his title for the fourth time. He remained undefeated in 12 fights in the UFC. He has won his last 22 clashes. Holloway has lost four of his last seven fights. It includes his three losses to Volkanovsky.
