Out of the 11 games, five will take place inside Allen Fieldhouse. Three are road games. And three will be played at neutral sites.
The season opener is Nov. 8 at home against Northwestern State. The road slate includes a Dec. 10 game against Wichita State, which is now lead at head coach by former Jayhawks associate head coach Terry Nooner. And during the Cayman Islands Classic, Kansas will go up against Virginia Tech on Nov. 24 and UConn on Nov. 25.
“One glance at our non-conference schedule and it won’t take long to see we are challenging our team and program at the highest level,” Schneider said in a release. “Whether at home, on the road, or at a neutral site, we will find out a lot about our potential strengths and the areas we must improve prior to starting Big 12 play.”
