League One is moving away from the fight of 20 teams. The French football authorities have decided to organize the competition in 18 teams from the next 2023-24 season.

A statement on the League One website on Wednesday afternoon revealed the preliminary schedule for next season. The 2022-23 edition of the top league of France will be held on August 6 and 7 and will end on June 4, 2023.

The statement said the bottom four teams in the tournament will go down to League-2. And the top two teams of League-2 will come up in League One.

Qatar to host World Cup next year; It will start on November 21, 2022 and end on December 16.

Considering the schedule of the global event, League One also announced the date of the match day of that time. Their 15th round will be eight days before the World Cup. The competition will return to the field 10 days after the end of the World Cup.
