Lionel Messi returns to Argentina squad for matches against Venezuela and Ecuador

Lionel Messi has returned to the Argentina squad for the World Cup qualifier against Venezuela and Ecuador in Qatar. Argentina coach Lionel Scolani has announced a 33-member squad for the two matches. Messi was not in the squad as Argentina have been rested for the last two matches.

Argentina will face Venezuela on March 25.

March 29 Argentina's opponent is Ecuador. Argentina have four banned players for the two matches; Emiliano Martinez, Cristian Romero, Emiliano Buendia and Giovanni Lo Celso. Marcus Acona and Alessando Gomez are also out due to injuries. Paolo DiBalla has been rested after recovering from an injury.

Argentina have already secured the World Cup in Qatar with 35 points from 15 matches. Brazil tops Latin America's points table with 35 points after Argentina's draw.
