Perceiving his work on the hill in the success over the association chiefs on Saturday, St. Joseph's University Brooklyn senior Louis Lombardi (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) was named the Skyline Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played April 11-17, reported by the association office earlier today.
Lombardi had a profession game throwing his initially complete-game triumph in a 3-1 victory over kin rivals St. Joseph's (Long Island). The senior struck out a profession high nine and held the association chiefs in hitting to only four hits north of seven innings of play.
It is the third Skyline Pitcher of the Week award gathered by a Bear in group history and the first since Mitch Brigando captured the distinction in 2017.
The Bears open a bustling stretch this week facilitating Baruch College on Thursday, April 21 in a non-meeting matchup beginning at 2 p.m. at Kingsborough Community College.
