A LOYALTY scheme that paid Mastercard users to go to the pub has gone bust leaving shoppers without their points.
The Ice scheme launched less than two years ago in December 2017 and it rewarded users for spending in more than 300 pubs and restaurants across the country.
Major chains including O’Neils, All Bar One, Toby Carvery, Harvester and Sizzling Pubs had signed up as well as travel agents Tui.co.uk and Firstchoice.co.uk.
Shoppers were also rewarded in retailers such as John Lewis and M&S that had been judged by Ice to be “environmentally conscious”.
Sadly, a message has appeared on the Ice website and Facebook page saying the site had ceased trading, and that previously collected Ice points can no longer be used.
As you would have agreed to these terms and conditions when you signed up, there’s unfortunately no way to redeem the points now.
You can always try and submit what’s known as a creditor’s claim but sadly there’s no guarantee you’ll get your money back.
