Men's golf selected to compete in NCAA Regional

The Lynn Fighting Knights men's golf team has been named as one of 20 teams selected to compete in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional. The event will take place from Thursday, May 5 through Saturday, May 7 at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Georgia. The Fighting Knights were ranked No. 7 in the South Region, which boasts the 10 best teams in the Sunshine State Conference, the Gulf South Conference and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The other 10 teams that Lynn will be competing against come from the Southeast Region which includes the top teams from the Peach Belt Conference, the South Atlantic Conference and Conference Carolinas. The top seed in the Southeast is Carson Newman, while the top seed in in the South is Barry.

In all, the Sunshine State Conference filled five of the 10 South Region spots, with Florida Southern, Nova Southeastern and Saint Leo joining Lynn and Barry.

To qualify for nationals, the Fighting Knights will need to place in the top six of the 20-team field.

Lynn's NCAA Division II Fighting Knights have won 25 national championships, 14 individual titles and 48 conference championships.
