Mesut Ozil has given this money for food and iftar to the poor and helpless people of the three countries. The three countries are Somalia, Syria, and Turkey. Ozil has donated 713,000 Turkish liras ($101,000) to the Turkish Red Crescent for an aid campaign for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The money will be used to distribute food and iftar in three countries through Turkey’s Red Crescent.
With the money given by Ozil, iftar will be arranged for 16,000 people in Turkey throughout the month of Ramadan. In addition, 2,000 families in Turkey and Syria will be provided with food items. And in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, 90,000 Iftar packages will be distributed among the poor and helpless.
