It’s sure to be wild as NASCAR returns to Daytona, so find out how to watch the Coke Zero Sugar 400 live.
When it comes to Daytona, sometimes the unpredictability can begin even before the race starts. To wit, who would have expected Hendrick Motorsports to dominate qualifying for Saturday’s Coke Zero Sugar 400?
The Hendrick Chevys haven’t won a race yet in 2018, but they’ll get some of the best starting spots at Daytona International Speedway since Chase Elliott is on the pole and Alex Bowman is right beside him. Jimmie Johnson starts from Row 2 as well.
Too bad restrictor plate racing is one place it doesn’t necessarily matter if you start up front. There are sure to be plenty of lead changes among the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series stars, including this year’s Big 3 of Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr.
As we saw during the XFINITY Series race on Friday night, even a calm couple of stages can still give way to total craziness in the closing laps. Maybe Kyle Larson will have a better chance of emerging from that type of chaos with a victory, as he did by winning even though he didn’t cross the start-finish line first. Let’s just hope only the rightful winner ends up doing a burnout this time around.
On top of all that, there’s always a chance that a plate racing specialist like Ricky Stenhouse Jr. could sneak in and grab a victory, or someone like Austin Dillon. It all adds up to plenty of intrigue at Daytona, and here’s how to take it all in live:
