In the blink of an eye, the 2023 NFL season is just over a week away from returning for its 104th installment.
The preseason concluded Sunday night and all eyes are now focused on the regular season.
With the Giants, Eagles, and Jets set and ready to get back in action for Week 1, here are my favorite player props to bet on for each team this upcoming season with odds via FanDuel Sportsbook.

New York Giants: Darren Waller OVER 4.5 touchdowns (+116)
Last season, QB Daniel Jones didn’t have a main go-to weapon on offense as no skill position player posted 60 or more catches or had 800+ receiving yards. Instead, it was more of a combination of role players like Richie James, Darius Slayton and Isaiah Hodgins who each took turns being Jones’s preferred choice on a given week.
That changes this year with the addition of Waller.
The soon-to-be 31-year-old tight end was widely reported as the Giants’ QB favorite weapon and it showed during his only preseason action. In his lone drive versus the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 18, Waller caught three of four passes from Jones’ as he was targeted early and often.
The main concern with the former Raiders’ tight end is that after playing in all 32 games in 2019 and 2020, he’s played in a combined 20 games the last two seasons.
While Waller’s only gone over this total once (9 TDs in 2020), I’m betting on him staying relatively healthy this year and finding the end zone at least five times this season as he and Jones build a rapport in the red zone in 2023.
Currently at +116 (bet $100 to win $116), this is a no-brainer bet to me for the Waller to score at least five times.
New York Jets: Garrett Wilson OVER 82.5 receptions (-112)
Even with the great value of Waller TDs, my favorite bet of the group belongs to Wilson exceeding this 82.5 reception line.
Despite dealing with a revolving door at the QB position last season, the 23-year-old wide receiver still hauled in 83 receptions for 1,103 receiving yards, earning him the Offensive Rookie of the Year honor in 2022.
Now working with future Hall-of-Fame QB Aaron Rodgers, Wilson looks to build off his rookie success and take that next step in his sophomore campaign. The signs are already there in what we’ve seen on “Hard Knocks” so far and his limited preseason work.
Wilson and most of the Jets’ first team offense suited up in the preseason finale against the Giants last Saturday night.
Rodgers and Wilson connected multiple times on their second and final drive which ultimately led to a beautiful catch-and-throw TD, likely the first of many connections in the end zone for the new duo.
Between Wilson’s talent and a skill group around him that’s currently not 100 percent healthy, the former 2022 10th overall pick will clear this number with ease as he establishes himself as one of the best, young wide receivers in the NFL this season.
I’d also place a small wager on Garrett Wilson to win Offensive Player of the Year at 25-1 (+2500) on FanDuel Sportsbook or for the best value of 30-1 odds (+3000) at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Philadelphia Eagles: Devonta Smith OVER 925.5 receiving yards (-112)
After a solid rookie campaign, Smith exploded in 2022 as he posted career-highs in targets (136), receptions (95) receiving yards (1,196) and touchdowns (7). He’s yet to miss a game in the NFL as he’s played in all 34 contests through two seasons and most importantly comes into his third campaign healthy.
While Smith’s numbers might be inflated because of tight end Dallas Goedert being placed on injured reserve (IR) for four games last season, there’s also the factor that there were several times in 2022 where the Eagles didn’t throw much at all in the second half of games after taking such a big lead at halftime.
Statistically, that will almost certainly change this season.
Even if Goedert and fellow star wide receiver A.J. Brown don’t miss much time due to injury, 925.5 receiving yards is still too low of a number for Smith, who notched 916 yards on only 64 catches in his rookie season.
Bet the over here as Smith’s ability to stay healthy and produce at a high level continues in year three for the 24-year-old dynamic playmaker.
