No cricket tournament in India: Sourav Ganguly

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has said that there is no possibility of any cricket tournament in India in the near future.

The football season is going to start in Germany from next May amidst the global corona terror. The journalists questioned Sourav on that issue. According to Sourav, the ‘social realities’ of Germany and India are different.

He said when cricket tournaments will be launched in India, a lot depends on the outcome. However, the BCCI president clarified that he does not see any possibility in the near future.

I don’t believe in risking people’s lives, Ganguly said. Novel coronavirus has infected 20,461 people in India so far. Besides, death has increased to 652. In the last 24 hours, 49 people have died in Corona across the country. And 1486 people were found to be corona positive. In all, about 4,000 Corona sufferers have recovered so far.
