Pakistan will host the 2023 Asia Cup Cricket

A month ago, New Zealand returned to the country from Pakistan without playing the series on the pretext of security. It raises new questions about how safe Pakistan is for cricketers. For the second time since 2009, Pakistan is going through a volatile situation in its cricket history. In this volatile situation, the country is going to get the responsibility of hosting the 2023 Asia Cup.

The 13th edition of the ODI World Cup will be played in India in 2023. The Asia Cup matches will be played in one-day format in Pakistan before the ICC World Cup.

Meanwhile, Australia will host the T20 World Cup at the end of 2022. That is why next year's Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka will be held in T20 format.

This information was confirmed by the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) after the meeting on Friday (October 15). He said Pakistan was adamant about hosting the Asia Cup in 2023 on its own soil. The country does not want the event to be held at any venue other than Pakistan.

It is learned that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not opposed the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) demand. Pakistan has been unanimously given the green signal to host the Asia Cup.

Earlier in 2008, Pakistan hosted the Asia Cup on its own soil.
