Player of first-name in NHL to test positive for coronavirus
Senators declared Tuesday night that one of the players tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The unnamed participant is the first confirmed instance from the NHL.
A statement in the senators stated the player has moderate symptoms and is still isolated.
“The Ottawa Senators have been in the procedure of notifying anybody who’s had intimate contact with the athlete and can be working together with our team’s physicians and public health officials,” the announcement read. “As a consequence of this favorable instance, all members of the Ottawa Senators have been requested to remain isolated, track their health, and seek the help of our staff’s medical team.
