Postponed Asian Games to be held in 2023

The Asian Games were scheduled to be held in China in September this year. But the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) postponed it as the outbreak of corona in the country increased. On Tuesday, they announced the new schedule of the Postponed.

According to the rescheduled schedule, the Asian athletes will be from September 23 to October 8, 2023. Talking to the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Huangzhu Asian Games Organizing Committee, the OCA formed the 'Task Force'.

All the venues were prepared for the 5th edition of the multi-sport game. Corona tests are also arranged. More than 11,000 athletes were expected to participate in 44 countries and regions. But the Asian Games were postponed by a statement last May as the incidence of the coronation increased.

China is the last major economy committed to stamping out domestic spread of the virus through harsh lockdowns, mass testing and strict controls on international travel.

Asian Games will be about 8 months before the Olympic Games. The Greatest Show on Earth will be held in Paris in July 2024.
