Real Madrid will have French striker Karim Benzema for two more years

Real Madrid fans are waiting to hear the news of the addition of new players. But instead of that, the Spanish giant club is making new contracts with one old player after another.

Following that, French striker Karim Benzema has signed a new contract with the club. According to the new contract, the star striker will stay at Real till June 2023.

Real officially announced the renewal of his contract with Benzema on Friday. Earlier, the club also signed new contracts with Thibaut Courtois, Luka Modric, Lucas Vasquez, Nacho Fernandez and Dani Carvajal.

The last contract with Benzema was due to expire in June next year. However, Real and Benzema signed a new contract with one year left without any risk.

Benzema has played 560 matches in all competitions since joining Real Madrid from French club Olympique Leo in 2009. He is the fifth highest scorer in the history of the most successful team in Europe (281). Won four Champions Leagues, three La Liga and numerous titles.
