Over the past few weeks, talk of a fight between Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson has garnered a lot of steam. Haney is currently the undisputed lightweight champion. Stevenson was the unified super featherweight champion until he was stripped of the titles for missing weight.
The two engaged in a brutal back-and-forth on social media, with mention of the lowball offer Haney made to Stevenson, as well as insults of the boxers’ relatives.
Warning: Strong language used.

With those two setting themselves up for a big-time fight in the future, it’s interesting to hear what other boxers think a potential matchup between the two could look like.
Rolly Romero isn’t a fan of either
For Rolly Romero, neither fighter is all that. In fact, he had some harsh words to say about both Haney and Stevenson when interviewed by Fight Guys Media back in December of 2022.

Since that interview, Haney has defended his belts against Vasiliy Lomachenko and Stevenson TKO’d Shuichiro Yoshino to move to 20-0. Romero, meanwhile, beat Ismael Barroso to capture the WBA super lightweight title, nearly a year after suffering defeat at the hands of Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
It would be interesting to know if Romero’s opinion of the two fighters in question has changed.
