Shoppers scramble at grocery stores amid coronavirus fears
As fears escalate across the international spread of this coronavirus, customers are scrambling to construct”pandemic pantries” of meals, healthcare, and other essential items to get ready for possible distribution disruptions or the should stay home.
The weekend found widespread press reports of shoppers crowding supermarkets and big-box retailers such as Costco Wholesale and Walmart and draining shelves of items like hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and home cleansers in addition to dry markets like rice, rice, and canned meals.
Americans are stocking up on essentials amid growing restrictions due to coronavirus.
