As with the recently completed series in Val di Sole, Alpe di Pampeago, Andorra and Fort William, the UCI World Cup in 2021 will return to the iconic Tomáš Šmíd-designed track in the Czech Republic. Following the success of the World Cup races in Vail, Eagle-Vail, Breckenridge, Aspen and Whistler, this will be the fourth time the World Cup will be heading to Switzerland for the 2021 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
The UCI has decided that, starting in 2021, the road world championships will be hosted in cities that are “located in countries, regions and/or countries where the UCI World Tour proper does not visit.” The 2021 world championships will be a little closer to home, but the UCI is open to alternatives.
