The 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals from 16 May to 1 June. Israel will host the tournament. A total of 16 teams will play in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2005 eligible to participate.

U17 Championship Preview

The UEFA U17 European Championship is an annual cup competition contested by the continent’s under-17 men’s national teams. This tournament began in 1982 initially as an under-16 event, with Italy winning the inaugural title, before increasing the age limit by a year in 2002. When held in odd-numbered years, the competition acts as the UEFA qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, with the top five teams from the UEFA U17 European Championship earning tickets to the FIFA event.
