One of the most anticipated moments of the season has arrived, the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Formula 1 returns to the entertainment capital after more than 40 years, but it will do so on a new circuit that will run through the streets of ‘Sin City’.
This event promises to be a spectacle and knowing its location, there is no doubt that it will meet expectations.
What is the Las Vegas F1 GP circuit like?
It is a new track so the expectation for this race is high. The drivers do not know the characteristics of the circuit and many have acknowledged having some problems during the process of learning the layout.
Max Verstappen himself, the great rival to beat this year, pointed out in the press conference of the Brazilian GP that he had crashed against the walls in the video game. We’ll see what happens in real life.
Aston Martin wants revenge
Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin come to this event motivated after having returned to the F1 podium in Brazil.
The Silverstone team bet on combining the parts they had been using throughout the season to obtain the best configuration at Interlagos, and that, together with the great performances of the Asturian and Lance Stroll, allowed them to be on top again.
However, as we say, this is a new circuit so we will have to wait until Friday to find out the thoughts of the drivers. What is clear is that they will try their best.
The team is looking to regain fourth place in the Constructors’ World Championship, which they ceded to McLaren during their poor form, in what will not be an easy task as the Woking team has good momentum and is 21 points ahead with two rounds to go.

Ferrari, looking for its luck
Ferrari did not get the best result in Brazil. They had all their hopes pinned on Charles Leclerc who started from the front row of the grid in second, however, the Monegasque went into the wall during the formation lap with a hydraulic failure. Thus, all the weight of the team fell on Carlos Sainz who could only manage a sixth place.
However, the Maranello-based team still has a chance of winning the constructors’ runner-up position. Their rival, Mercedes, did not leave Interlagos satisfied either after a problem with the configuration did not allow them to be as competitive as expected. Thus, in Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi both teams will try to obtain the best results to win the battle.
