A lot of individuals have gotten accustomed to wearing routine masks to prevent coronavirus disease. Nevertheless, in some specific instances, wearing a mask could be dangerous to health! Just because it's very important to put on a mask to stop coronavirus disease, using masks can be harmful in some instances, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
The use of masks can also be dangerous to health, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). For this reason, many people are using the face shield as an alternative to the mask. However, many are confused about the issue. In fact, the mask or face shield, which is more effective in Corona?
Wearing a mask during exercise, morning walks, jogging, heavy physical activity can lead to abnormal fatigue, muscle strain or cramps, nausea, dizziness and even a brain stroke. So in all these cases it is better not to wear a mask. And in all these cases, the face shield is the most suitable to protect from corona.
Earlier last month, WHO epidemiologist Maria Van Kerkhove said corona infections in ordinary cloth masks could not be prevented in cases where it was not possible to maintain social distance in accordance with the rules. In this case, only a three-layer mask can provide the most protection.
According to experts at the Mayo Clinic in the United States, any three-tiered mask can provide up to 75 percent protection against the virus. However, the face shield ensures the protection of the face.
The World Health Organization currently says only two types of people should wear protective masks. They are:
Those who are sick, those who have symptoms
Those who are suspected to have coronavirus, those who are caring
Different types of masks used in hospitals offer different types of protection.
The mask that provides the most protection is the FFP3 or N95 or FFP2, which has an air purifier.
Experts do not recommend the use of these masks for the public. These are only for health care workers who come in contact with patients infected with the coronavirus and are at risk of contracting the virus floating in the air.
These are doctors, nurses or health workers who live within a meter of coronavirus infected or potential patients. These workers can be hospital, primary care, ambulance or home care providers.
Other health-care workers who are at lower risk may wear surgical masks.
