Boca Raton, Florida - Though they're the newest sports program on campus, the Lynn University women's lacrosse team has wasted no time in adopting Lynn's value-driven mission of being others-minded.
For the second year in a row, Head Coach Mindy Richmond and her team are partnering with Gift of Life for a bone marrow drive to help find matches for people battling life-threatening diseases. The event will be held on Friday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Christine's Lawn, and everyone over the age of 18 is eligible to join to see if they are a potential match.
Gift of Life is an international blood stem cell and marrow registry that finds matching donors for patients battling diseases like leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell and other genetic disorders. The quick and simple process of getting a cheek swab and filling out the necessary paperwork takes less than 15 minutes.
Lynn's NCAA Division II Fighting Knights have won 25 national titles and 47 conference championships.
